SoftSyl Technologies is a leading software technology firm that offers design, development, and implementation of automated voice solutions for call centers. We are currently looking for a strong and seasoned full-time Sales and Marketing Associateto join our team in the Columbus, Ohio metro area.
Position:
Are you an excellent sales and marketing guru and with the leadership skills to build business? Are you able to cold-call, present and conduct customer meetings, close deals and accurately forecast new business? Can you excel at both direct sales and channel sales? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you, but please do not apply unless you are the best and can prove it. Earn $50K if you are average, $100K if you are good and $200K+ if you are a superstar.
Job responsibilities include:
- Prospecting and lead generation for Interactive Voice Response (IVR) solutions.
- Responsible for growing revenue through outbound cold calls, email campaigns, meetings and managing new and existing accounts.
- Responsible for steering marketing efforts, such as conducting webinars and contributing to company blog.
- Research and identify new opportunities, such as identifying call centers based on size, revenue and vertical market for prospecting.
- Develop new business, expand relationships with existing customers, and manage relationships with partners
- Responsible for establishing innovative sales strategies, coordinating internal and external resources, writing sales proposals, and closing business.
- Must have experience using CRM tools to track sales pipeline and activities.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree at a minimum
- Highly energetic and tech savvy individual with strong computer skills
- Experience with gathering sales requirements, writing proposals, and conducting presentations with little to no dependence.
- Experience with conducting sales calls and sales meetings
- Experience with a variety of sales and marketing activities, such as writing blogs, conducting webinars, and participating in social media conversations.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Five or more years of experience presenting, selling and negotiating software technology solutions and engaging with IT directors and executives

Potential for long-term growth within the company. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software applications.
- Develop telephony and web applications.
- Brainstorm with other engineers on product design and development.
- Work with decision makers to demonstrate mockups/prototypes.
- Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced developers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: BS or MS degree in computer science/software engineering.
- Hands-on experience (Non-Managerial) with Java, Servlet, and JSP programming languages and web technologies is a must.
- Direct experience with frameworks such as Struts 2, Spring Framework, and/or Hibernate is a must.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing Web Services using Java technologies.
- Innovative, creative, flexible, and self-directed with a keen understanding of how to design and write elegant, high-performance, reliable and maintainable server side Java applications code.
- Strong object-oriented design and development skills.
- Experience working with MySQL and SQL languages.
Other Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with business intelligence suites, such as Crystal Reports highly desirable.
- Experience with VOIP, SIP and other telephony related technologies
