<initial>

It is used in a mixed initiative form where the user will be prompted to fill out the form using the initial element and if unsuccessful then will visit each field individually for filling it with user information. Initial does not contain any grammar or filled elements but can have prompts and other event handlers.

 Attributes:

name

It is the name associated with this form item. The value entered/uttered by the user is stored in a variable under this name.

cond

An ECMAScript expression (boolean) when evaluates “true” then the contents are executed

expr

An ECMAScript expression which defines the initial value of this form item. This value needs to be undefined for the contents of the initial element to be executed.
